When he arrived with his family, Dr. Anosh Ahmed came to the United States from India at seven. His leadership has left an indelible mark on his hometown, and the medical world has acknowledged his many accomplishments in healthcare management. Dr Ahmed came from very modest means. Thus earning his medical degree was a significant achievement for him. He got his medical training underway as a resident at Chicago’s Mt. Sinai Hospital. After finishing his residency, Dr Ahmed took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Loretto Hospital. He led a clinical team of more than 150 doctors and 600 professional staff members. Dr Ahmed’s business savvy helped boost Loretto Hospital’s bottom line during his tenure as COO. Within two years, he doubled the company’s sales from $60 million to $100 million.
Dr. Ahmed also established the non-profit Heart of Health Clinics in 2021, whose mission is to provide quality medical treatment to those who lack it, such as the uninsured and refugees. Dr. Ahmed has worked tirelessly toward his aim of universal healthcare availability. Dr. Ahmed states, “Caring for individuals is what improves the world, one person at a time.”
Dr. Ahmed attended and graduated from Windsor University School of Medicine with a degree in medicine (M.D.). Not only did he graduate with honours but also with a spot on the Dean’s List.
Dr. Ahmed’s post-medical education included an extended residency in internal medicine at Chicago’s Mount Sinai Hospital.
While at the highly regarded Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Ahmed also completed a programme in the Practises of Clinical Research.
